Dear Quiz Team Members,

With the end of our season approaching I ask you to give thought to a matter which was raised at the last AGM, on the Registration evening in September and which has been discussed casually during the season.

I refer to the format of the league’s two divisions and especially the issue of promotion and relegation between them.

With our AGM approaching I would be grateful if you would consider whether changes are needed to the position as written in the rules of our constitution.

At present R2 of the constitution states:-

R2. There will be two divisions, each competing team to play the others twice in the league competition.

To allow for a different format and to/or address the issue of promotion and relegation, a new R2 could be proposed as follows:-

R2 There will be one or two divisions based on the number of teams registering at the start of the season.

When two divisions operate there shall be promotion and relegation between them, dependent on final league positions.

The format will be decided at the AGM, with the committee having the final decision regarding the placement of competing teams.
