Our registration event for 26/27 at Tondu Railway Club was well attended with twelve teams entering for the new season which will start in early October.
The Railway Club laid on an extremely well received and varied buffet, and our thanks go out to their Committee and Staff.
The Alan Rudge Memorial Quiz was won by a team representing the Pheasant.
Last season’s presentations took place with the Tondu Railway Club team receiving both the League winner shield and the Knockout Plate.
The Knockout Cup winners were the Pantruthyn Panthers who defeated the Pheasant Nomads by one point.
There are two team venue changes with the old Hunters Lodge moving to the Haywain and the old Pantruthyn Panthers (now the Pencoed Socialites) re-locating to the Pencoed Social Club. The Maesteg Chaplins team play at The Legion on Commercial Street.
Unfortunately, two teams have decided not to enter next season, these being Laleston Inn ‘B’ and the long-time League stalwarts the Pheasant Nomads.
On a lighter note, and for which we are grateful, we have received sponsorship from Drive Shaft Services (Pyle) and LMG Solutions (Pencoed).
