The committee have given this a lot of thought and have suggestions for the format also, which will be discussed at the AGM. Please attend.
I was asked to submit a motion on behalf of the Pheasant Pluckers team for the AGM to consider the league structure. Possible options suggested included:
No change.
Or——All teams will play in a single league – once at home and once away – within an extended season from September to June. So 30 weeks league competition plus 4 weeks for cup & plate competition. 34 week total.
Or——All teams to play each other just once between September and January before splitting into two leagues (playing twice) from February to June. Those in the top league after the split playing in a three week cup competition and those in the bottom league playing in a three week plate competition. So 29 week league competition plus 3 weeks for cup & plate. 32 weeks in total.
These assume 16 teams continue.
